thou shalt not conform when thou could blaze thy own path..

an idle mind is the evil's workshop

the mind is a wicked thing. i can attest for tat. tis blog can testify for the previous statement.

i think ar, ppl create blog cos they couldnt put too much crap into their friendster, hi5 or watever friend-making scheme there is out there. thus they have to come up w smtg tat's sounded savvy to the cyber surfers. thus blog was born. >:)

for me, i create tis blog so whenever a bored friend come and buzz me messenger window, i'll direct them to my site. thus i must come up w at least one stoopid topic to write bout so those who's reading my blog will hav to read till the end of the line before they come and bug me. it saves me a minute of peace and silence.

anyway, as i was saying, the mind is a wicked thing, left alone and it'll behave like a lonely dog all locked up in a quiet room. where the restless dog will pee around, shite everywhere and bite everything within it's reach to create a sort of a dis-membered nest so when the owner of the room comes back, he/she will feel extremely annoyed and left the door open for the dog to run out into the free frontier; right into the nearest fire hydrant/bush/b*tch available.

course our mind cant jump nor bark around like a dog, left alone, it'll come up w all sort of visuals tat makes the ideas 101 book looked like sissy. the course of action will have to depend on how good the self control mechanism the owner of the brain has and how many hours of meditative yoga he/she practice everyday.

brain fun facts; do u know tat :

..the adult human brain weighs about 3 pounds (1,300-1,400 g), about 2% of the total body weight? but only less than a fifth of an elephant's brain? but we can boast ours weigh as least 40 times the weight of the cat. the biggest brain goes to the blue whale (6kg).
..the average human brain is only 140 mm wide, 167 mm long, 93 mm high but caters to about 100,000,000,000 (100 billion) neurons? the octopus brain has about 300 million neurons, so for those squid eaters, u are eating an intelligent form there; a form tat's able to form an opinion bout wat sort of prick u are, with it's pros and cons.
..the world record for time without sleep is 264 hours (11 days) by Randy Gardner in 1965. Note: In Biopsychology (by J.P.J. Pinel, Boston: Allyn and Bacon, 2000, p. 322), the record for time awake is attributed to Mrs. Maureen Weston. She apparently spent 449 hours (18 days, 17 hours) awake in a rocking chair. The Guinness Book of World Records [1990] has the record belonging to Robert McDonald who spent 453 hours, 40 min in a rocking chair.
..unconsciousness will occur after 8-10 seconds after loss of blood supply to the brain. so no backflipping for those amateurs pls.
..neurons multiply at a rate 250,000 neurons/minute during early pregnancy. so mothers-to-be out there, u are beautiful and intelligent. just dun trust those instinct too much, it's too highly evolved. give us some benefit of the doubts.
..the total volume of cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) is 125-150 ml, tat's like carriyng a small mineral bottle as u walk along. so for those weight watcher, pls carry more than 2.
..your brain is about 1300-1400 cubic centimeters in volume, about the size of a cantaloupe and wrinkled like a walnut. wat's a cantaloupe?
..the brain feels like a ripe avocado and looks pink because of the blood flowing through it. cool fact.
..your cerebral cortex is about as thick as a tongue depressor. It grows thicker as you learn and use it. *yew..
..your brain generates 25 watts of power while you're awake---enough to illuminate a lighbulb. another cool fact. i'll try tat when i forgot to pay my electricity. all i gotta do now is figure out how to put the plug in..hmm.
..a newborn baby's brain grows almost 3 times in course of first year. hmm..after tat it shrunk eh?
..overexposure to aluminum compounds—in foil, cookware, deodorants, antacids, toothpaste—can affect brain function. i can throw everything out but aluminum compounds—in foil, i need those to contact the aliens.
..a cooked potato can jump-start your brain when you're feeling foggy. an alternative to coffee.

misc fun facts:

..the octopus does not have a blind spot. wow, all we hav to do is figure out how to put them behind the wheel.
..there are 1,000 to 10,000 synapses for a "typical" neuron. define "typical" pls.
..the cell bodies of neurons vary in diameter from 4 microns (granule cell) to 100 microns (motor neuron in cord). i have no idea wat he's talking bout.
..the resting potential in a squid giant axon is -70 mV. and how does tat cater to our daily needs? it's not as if we r gonna meet a giant squid everyday unless we are in japan or smtg.

ok, enough of tis. even i'm having blur eyes due to too much facts.

anyway, like wat i was trying to say, the mind is a wicked thing. left alone, it comes w smtg mind blowingly boring like the facts above, if ya lucky, ya get to visualise a better view of watever ya fantasize bout. otherwise, ya might just dream of ya next door neighbour w lotsa hair on his back, shaving his armpit while looking at ya w that look of his from his bathroom window opposite urs. *yuck.

and that's why, sometimes, it's better to go out and get distracted by random stuff than sit in a room with nothing to do. evil thots.

aiya, i develop evil thoughts only when i'm surrounded by ppl. must've been the brain wave or vibes they were sending off. which is where the aluminium foil comes in handy. course, ya gt really cover all those areas where the brain wave might penetrate. if ya lucky, ya might get signals from outer space.
