Howdy ya'll!

Haha..have been in silence a while. Time and work is catching up, so I thought I'd like to do some catching up with ya'll, since I'm only a click away. :)

As you know, djp's applications are being reviewed by MDC. If MDC intends to explore other alternative to djp, ltp44 might be the last baby ltp as of now. Which means, it's up to us the existing ltpians to make a difference, either in our lives or in others.

I've joined ltp15 since august year 2003; took up mdc internship for 6 months, working at the posted company for a month before i moved to join another com with an ex coll of mine. Till then, i've been at the same company for a year and 2 months now. :)

Before working for the mdc posted company, I was just like every fresh grads there were in year 2003. Twas a time where all the freshies graduated; USM, UPM, UM, UKM, Tar College etc etc. I was worried cos i hav to compete with a batch of Tarcians looking for job as it was their training period and as we all know, Malaysian companies prefer to hire fresh grads as interns over contract or permanent post for some very obvious reasons. haha..some more Tar College released 2 batches of interns in a year, so if u failed to secure a job at the middle of the year, the chances are getting slimmer as more Tarcians are released from their school compound. headache headache..

Along my path to job searching, I got to do lots of irrelevant jobs not related to the course i was studying, which was system management. I had had a job where my post was database admin, but i was doin data entry. Twas a challenge trying to keep awake as I typed in the constant faxed in data. I can tell u one thing; falling asleep while ur hands typing away is possible! haha..talk about reflex, man.

Anyway, not long later i joined mdc internship and was posted at a client's site. Then the real work began. The only transport I had was lrt, and i had to travel 45 min from wangsa maju to asia jaya. I learnt how to sleep standing in the lrt train, read tonnes of books along my waiting and learnt tat the sun summarizes everything in the daily newspaper for the day. I had a chance to work with a CRM team doin saleslogix implementations and followed the business consultant for act! presentation to potential leads and clients. Twas a blur haze of very enlightening events as I learnt new skills along the way and see how a great organisation worked. There were times where I had to stay back to work finishing off projects and rushing datelines and stuff, but twas irrelevant to the experiences I was gaining, imagine my polished resume... Partly a colleague there was my coding sensei where he spurted coding logics and philosophy. It was oddly a fun learning event.

During my stay at the company, I was attending MDC's courses where I met my current ltp15 mates and ltp12 bbq event where i met up with a lot of other ltpians for the first ever LTP AGE (Annual Gathering Event). I remembered John mentioning that it was our first ever, and hopefully not the last. The phrase stuck. AGE Camp 2005 marked the second. AGE Ball 2006 will mark the third ever. Hopefully after tat, there will be more. :)

Ltp12 bbq event at Taman Warisan, Putrajaya was a moment of many meeting points at KLCC, after work I'd rush for lrt to reach there. We had it every week discussing on the bbq at the few end months of 2003, as the dateline was kinda close and there were some stuff not yet finalised. Munira was then coordinator and she did a great job all thru the end, making sure we hang on in there till the launching and finishing. Eric was the ever steady ltp12 president, cool and poised, though at some point he was havin some doubts on continuing the project, haha..we had to coy him back to the game. (shaking head) Alan of ltp12 was the head of pr back then; funny and hyper, he let me and khai experimented on watever methods of pr we could do to inform the existing ltpians and future ltpians into the first ever ltp gathering. We had fun spamming the ltpians thru mails and then free method of sms sending thru yahoo mails. *sigh..too bad the sms method for maxis is no longer available now. For those who were surprised in receiving the sms and spam, thousand apologies frm me. :P The bbq went like a cinch and khairiyah of ltp17 did a great job in preparing for the catering and door gifts. She is a gem and a great pr. :) Joshua of ltp12 was then treasurer, seow of ltp15, manmeet of ltp13 and vince of ltp13 were one of the many strong ppl behind the happenings of the event during the bbq. We had a montaj goin on, done by Putri of ltp12 (did i get it rite? :P). I had one heck of a nite..and I believed many had too. (pics : http://photos.groups.yahoo.com/group/LTPEvent/lst in folder BBQ and BBQ_2) I met many ltpians tat nite whom became friends I had today.

The ending of ltp12's bbq also marked the beginning of a new year of 2004. Where I changed working environment, involved in 5 projects with the current company i'm in today, went for charis home, jinjang and joined AGE Camp 2005's committee. So many memoirs..

At charis I met ltp21's keat, kelley, ellie, yong sein, nate, pooi san, ken, lee chean, alicia of ltp25 and president hairul of ltp21. They had their community work where they invited other ltpians for the ride. Twas a fun event where we went to meet a bunch of hyper kids and spent some time with them. Watched Monster Inc ala cinema using projector which keat borrowed and had lunches together. Thanks ltp21 for inviting. I really had fun back then. :) (http://www.myltp.net/gallery/thumbnails.php?album=7)

Jinjang project was suggested by djp. All i can say bout the event was; please click on the many pics we took from surveillance team to play time to painting to mural to finishing touches. It was a few weekends of visits, lunches and dinners together, paint spraying, football and other artistic honing skills event. I remembered meeting many faces of ltpians at Jinjang, all committed to the painting sessions. From ltp13 to ltp32, friends of ltpians and djpians who came along as well. All i can say is; MORE painting sessions! haha..we couldnt stop havin fun then..*sigh..(lost in reverie). Thanks loads for sharing the fun time we had together. :) Alvin and Chen Yong, u did good on the drawing for the murals. Salute salute. One day we go back see the product of our labour, nak? :D Reen! Bila balik kl ni? Let's go see ur footprint kat Jinjang..haha..Seow, u did good on the arrangements n logistics man. Kudos. :)

AGE Camp 2005 preparation was done by ltp24; where I met a bunch of ppl who knows how to hav fun and get the job done. :D Sheila, Jimmy, Eza, Siddiq, Amelia of ltp28, Weng Kin of ltp28, Saiful of ltp28, Meor of ltp31, Shah of ltp31, Adrian of ltp23, Nadia of ltp23, Kelley of ltp21, Seow of ltp15. Lotsa logistics, little little things to keep track of, reminding each other wat to bring, logistics, logistics, logistics..(headache). But we really had lotsa fun. :) I remembered captain ball, wood collecting session, water splashing session, setting up tents, preparation for bbq, nite concert ala DJungle People (they sang and can give u a run for ur money, darn semangat la the dudes there..eyes rolling), John's bday party celeb, talking n sleeping under the starry skies w the rest of the ltpians, nite watches separated between the ltpians participants (scared kereta kena curi u see). There were around 50 headcounts tat nite, mostly made of ltp33 the coolest group available then, course la..babies maaa..haha..:P Fun time meeting up old friends and new friends alike. :)
(surveilance : http://www.myltp.net/gallery/thumbnails.php?album=5 , the rest of the photos not yet uploaded, too many..another headache..eyes rolling)

All i can say after involving with AGE 2005 is; please please make the next year's event indoor. haha..and it's really not easy to organise an event where most ltpians can spare some time with the rest. For those who's able to spare some of their time with us, thank you and it's great knowing u. Do come out to play more often. :)

At first I didnt know I'll be meeting so many ltpians along the way, some friend's of ltpians and some their family members. :)

I shall never forget all those moments we shared up at Cameron, especially amongst my own ltp; ltp15. Whom I've met many friends I still keep in my yahoo messenger; Kenny, Seow, Steven, Meeyee, Nurin, Putera, Nureda, Nana, Harvin, Kenneth, Shereen, Dyana. We've passed by the starting line of the rat race, a year and a half had passed, and here we are today. Still within virtual click with one another. :)

All I can summarise frm my 2 years time working and interacting with the ltpians are; I can write very well and I'm grateful for MDC internship and for DJP's LTP Program. Without both, I'd missed so much of the above memoirs. :)

Please share with us wat the mdc internships and djp programs had done for u. I've shared a part of my life with u all, do share with us urs. :)

Peace and keep the flame abright. Cheers mates.

cheers-to-monday,
ngy of ltp15
