thou shalt not conform when thou could blaze thy own path..
sweet sorrow
i first heard this song when i watched eyes of the beholder starring ewan mcgregor. it was the kind of song tat left smtg lingering but i can never point it out wat exactly.
I Wish You Love
Andy Williams
Music by Charles Trenet and English Lyrics by Albert A. Beach
This version did not chart but
It was a #28 hit for Gloria Lynne in 1964
Goodbye, no use leading with our chins / chance
This is where our story ends
Never lovers, ever friends
Goodbye, let our hearts call it a day
But before you walk away
I sincerely want to say
I wish you bluebirds in the spring to give your heart a song to sing
And then a kiss but more than this
I wish you love
And in July a lemonade to cool you in some leafy glade
I wish you health and more than wealth
I wish you love
My breaking heart and I agree that you and I could never be
So with my best, my very best, I set you free
I wish you shelter from the storm
A cozy fire to keep you warm
But most of all when snowflakes fall
I wish you love
My breaking heart and I agree that you and I could never be
So with my best, my very best, I set you free
I wish you shelter from the storm
A cozy fire to keep you warm
But most of all when snowflakes fall
I wish you love
-- end of song
i will always love tis song.
i'm still searching for a french song, too bad i cant remember any of it's wordings. can only recognize it by harmony when i hear it..some day.
all the songs i heard, color my path one way or another in my life..all left deep impact and long lasting impressions. some last for years, others are distant memoirs. how i adore songs..figments of my past. *blissful sigh..

- I'll Make Love to You -
Close your eyes, make a wish
And blow out the candlelight
For tonight is just your night
We're gonna celebrate, all thru the night
Pour the wine, light the fire
Girl your wish is my command
I submit to your demands
I'll do anything, girl you need only ask
*
I'll make love to you
Like you want me to
And I'll hold you tight
Baby all through the night
I'll make love to you
When you want me to
And I will not let go
Till you tell me to
Girl relax, let's go slow
I ain't got nowhere to go
I'm just gonna concentrate on you
Girl are you ready, it's gonna be a long night
Throw your clothes on the floor
I'm gonna take my clothes off too
I made plans to be with you
Girl whatever you ask me you know I'll do
*
Baby tonight is your night
And I will do you right
Just make a wish on your night
Anything that you ask
I will give you the love of your life
+
- Everytime I Close My Eyes -
Girl, it's been a long, long time comin'
But I, I know that it's been worth the wait
It feels like springtime in winter
It feels like Christmas in June
It feels like heaven has opened up it's gates for me and you
*
And every time I close my eyes
I thank the lord that I've got you
And you've got me too
And every time I think of it
I pinch myself 'cause
I don't believe it's true
That someone like you
Loves me too
Girl, I think that you're truly somethin'
And you're, you're every bit of a dream come true
With you baby, it never rains and it's no wonder
The sun always shines when I'm near you
It's just a blessing that I have found somebody like you
*
To think of all the nights
I've cried myself to sleep
You really oughtta know
How much you mean to me
It's only right that you be in my life right here with me
Oh baby, baby
*
these songs are meant to be heard during raining days;
at nite when all the lights are off;
when one's sipping coffee accompanied by the morn's breath;
as one cruises along side the highway, with nothing but the wind and stretches of road;
or when one sways to the slow motion;
or when a couple is sitting in the porch looking at the sunset.
they are just drawlingly sexy, heartbreakingly touching and if one would hav it; placed beside one's soul or heart.

bon voyage
last nite watched lax final season episode, i think, and saw halley (a half manager of the airport lax) saying her last goodbye to her partner (another half manager of lax).
liked her term, "..u dun mess with my runway, i wun mess with urs."
then it showed her goin on her way from the airport. she said goodbye to one of her admirers;
"u r one of the reasons i come to work everyday."
he answered, "u r the only reason i come to work everyday."
then she gave him a kiss and went on her way.
last part showed her best partner (one who's married, messed up, each other harbouring severe case of attraction for one another, but still holding back to his marriage becos of his children, somebody whom she had an affair), reading up her resignation letter, smtg she swore she'd never do (which is y both end up as managers for the airport, thus contrast and clashes of opinions and decisions always happen).
i remembered a part very vividly;
"..u know i am extreme. i want it all or nothing at all. i've sent a copy to the town's mayor.."
i've never felt so connected back then.
for me, her way of life though extreme, she has no regrets of life. she grab on to everything tat's dear to her and make the best outta it. i dun agree w the part she having an affair w a married man who's having his divorce along the way, but then, life does hav a sense of irony; never say never.
i swore i'd never fall for a guy w big lips, and i did.
i say i'd never fall for a childish person, and i did.
i say i'd never work in kl, and i did.
i swore i'd never wear pink, last nite i checked my wardrobe, and i saw some pink stuff in there.
it's time to say bon voyage to a lot of things tis year; silent anguish, lonely frustrations, doppelgangers, short hair, old principles, reckless thoughts, impulsive moves, rainbow connection, idiosyncracies etc etc..
there's some memories worth cherishing; amusing ones, sad ones, good ones, reflectory ones, selfgrowing ones etc etc..
tis year had been a reflectory revelation for me.
i discovered myself as :
* lesser than whom i idealised,
* sometimes better than whom i think i am,
* that my actions reflect whom i am and not my thoughts,
* tat my thoughts give ppl impressions of who i am which is far from truth,
* tat i'm more tactful than i let ppl know,
* tat although i do enjoy some stuff but too much of it will make it routine thus bore me,
* seeing somebody too much is self destructive,
* tat i enjoy exclusivity as much as i enjoy privileges,
* tat i can be whoever i set out myself to be,
* tat i hav many facets which some i love some i hide,
* tat my group of friends varies and i react diff in all the groups,
* tat i cant handle pressure too much or it'll make me feel pukish but i'm sure time and practice will make it feel better,
* tat i enjoy sleeping and self preservation a lot,
* tat family is very important to me though some ppl may think otherwise thus it seems true tat a person's measurement of "a lot" varies from one to another,
* tat i'm a very focus intense person who's a bit vain and love to tease around a lot,
* tat i dun take myself too seriously,
* i amazes myself sometimes.
well, who says tis year is a complete waste! haha..

food wise
for those who wanted to try out some really nice dishes, below are my recommendations :
1. OM Thai Food
tis is situated at setapak, at jln genting klang, beside the kenny rogers.
killer tomyam soup, hot and spicy enough for my taste, one of my standing favourites so far.
2. Asam Laksa
KL petaling street; nasty stuff, enough to make the spoon stand on the bowl's end.
sour and famous, tried once, left a deep impact on me. dun know after the development the shop still exist or not.
Laksa Shack's asam laksa also pretty nice, though more expensive.

7. Iranian food
got one behind imbi/lauyat.
ex coll brought there once, the rice is cook to perfection, of diff breed.
serve in bulk, but after u finish it, doesnt feel full at all.
ex coll said malaysian rice is diff frm iranian rice; one the way they cooked it, another the gene is diff; the rice is long and slender.
said iranian rice doesnt cause obesity no matter how much u take.
they love to cook beef or mutton kebab/satay style, but the mutton's smell isnt to my liking.
8. Nailis

nice atmosphere.
