thou shalt not conform when thou could blaze thy own path..

I Wish You Love
Andy Williams
Music by Charles Trenet and English Lyrics by Albert A. Beach
This version did not chart but
It was a #28 hit for Gloria Lynne in 1964
Goodbye, no use leading with our chins / chance
This is where our story ends
Never lovers, ever friends
Goodbye, let our hearts call it a day
But before you walk away
I sincerely want to say
I wish you bluebirds in the spring to give your heart a song to sing
And then a kiss but more than this
I wish you love
And in July a lemonade to cool you in some leafy glade
I wish you health and more than wealth
I wish you love
My breaking heart and I agree that you and I could never be
So with my best, my very best, I set you free
I wish you shelter from the storm
A cozy fire to keep you warm
But most of all when snowflakes fall
I wish you love
My breaking heart and I agree that you and I could never be
So with my best, my very best, I set you free
I wish you shelter from the storm
A cozy fire to keep you warm
But most of all when snowflakes fall
I wish you love
-- end of song
i will always love tis song.
i'm still searching for a french song, too bad i cant remember any of it's wordings. can only recognize it by harmony when i hear it..some day.
all the songs i heard, color my path one way or another in my life..all left deep impact and long lasting impressions. some last for years, others are distant memoirs. how i adore songs..figments of my past. *blissful sigh..
