thou shalt not conform when thou could blaze thy own path..

Ambassador

Sometimes, I guess some ppl just dun get it.

When a kid is out of his/her parents' house, they think they r finally free, no strings attached and can simply do anything they like.

Wrong wrong, oh so wrong.

Most ppl dun realise this, but when ppl get to know a person, they usually would ask,"What's ur name?" followed by next most important question, "What do u do?".

With the question "What's ur name?", u of course would hav to give em ur name, surname n nick if applied. So ppl would remember u easier, more so if u like glimpsing over their way more than once.

So there u go, u gave away a very precious piece of info which denotes ur background, networks and such. If u are not even willing to reveal ur name on first meeting, I'm sure u wouldnt even be meeting ppl or be introduced in the first plc. Ppl are weird in a sense tat they need to know u first before they can actually feel safe to intro u to another person cos their reputation is at stake.

So u being u, if u shuld forget where u come from, u'd never think twice bout being nasty to another person's reaction, why? Just becos u like provoking another person to see what's their reactions are or just because u can. So u did.

But hey, what do u know..words travel fast, ppl are slowly looking at ur way, whispering amongst themselves, asking for info on tat impertinent kid, "Who's his/her connection?", "What's his/her network?", "Anybody we know?" and before u know it..they manage to sum all info up to the root; ur mum..or dad.

I'm pretty sure many ppl are scared of either their mum or dad or smbody whom they so call respect (mostly scared outta their wits) when they r young n stuff. So there u go, believing ppl would believe all the crap u make up of urself, making urself feel bigger than life when one day.. the call u dreaded most arrived.

Kids dun think, so's adults when they r playing make believe.

So be careful out there, as u r the ambassador of ur family's name. A very precious responsibility to hold. We r living in a world of no heroes but heroes whom we made ourselves. To earn tat respect, one gotta respect one's name first, and one's surname carries a whole lotta weight compared to the first name. Smear it, and the whole family tree goes along with it. Repair it, and the whole tree flourished with delight.

Weird huh how life works..some times the most petty things may be a gem in disguise, if only we learnt the lessons.
